Amazon automatically records your orders in your account history right after they are placed on the platform. This is amazing when you want to re-order your post-purchased products quickly.
However, it can be a bit awkward if you’re sharing your Amazon account with somebody and want to keep some purchases private. Since you can not delete your order history, luckily, Amazon lets you archive orders to keep them out of sight.
This guide will show you how to archive Amazon orders and easily find them when you need to. Let’s have a look!
What Are Archived Orders On Amazon?
Amazon archived orders are past orders that you’ve intentionally hidden from your default order history view. They’re not deleted or removed from search, just moved to a separate section. You are free to archive and unarchive them at any time.

How To Archive Orders On Amazon
You have to manually archive each product you want to archive on Amazon but don’t worry, it can be done in just a few steps as follows:
Step 1: Log in to your Amazon account
Step 2: Go to Returns & Orders
Step 3: Locate the order or item you want to archive and click Archive order.
Step 4: Confirm your decision by clicking Archive order
Step 5: After that, you’ll receive a notice from Amazon confirming that your order has been archived.
It’s important to note that you can’t archive or unarchive orders using the Amazon app on your phone or tablet. You’ll need to use a web browser on your computer or access the Amazon website through your mobile browser to manage your archived orders.
Additionally, archiving Amazon orders isn’t foolproof. If someone knows where to look, they can still find your hidden purchases. There’s no way to permanently delete an order or password-protect your archived orders.
However, you can take a step further by Hiding your browsing history and Removing the item from your Buy Again list. I’ll show you how:

How To View Archived Orders On Amazon & Unarchive Them
The great thing about archiving an order, rather than deleting it, is that you can still access it if you need to. You can even unarchive orders to bring them back into your regular order history. Here’s how to view and unarchive your archived Amazon orders:
Step 1: Click Returns & Orders
Step 2: From here, you can see the dropdown menu that automatically sets to “past 3 months”. Now click that, and you’ll see the Archived orders option at the bottom.
Step 3: You’ll now see a list of all your archived orders. To unarchive a specific order, simply click the Unarchive Order button located below it. The order will then be moved back to your regular order history.
Bottom Line
Hopefully, this post is helpful in bringing you everything you need to know about archived orders on Amazon, how to archive, hide, view, and unarchive those orders.
While archiving orders or clearing your search history can temporarily hide purchases, they’re not foolproof solutions. If you’re serious about keeping your information private and saving yourself the hassle of constantly managing your order history, consider removing others from your Prime account or starting a new one. This way, you can keep your purchases truly private while enjoying all the benefits of Prime membership.
