With Shopify, embedding videos into your product pages, blogs, or collections is simple. You need to upload the video to a third-party platform (such as YouTube or Vimeo) before embedding it into your store content.

Here’s a step-by-step guide:

Step 1: Copy the Video URL

Upload your video to YouTube or Vimeo and copy the video URL.

Tip: Many Shopify themes, including Brooklyn and Supply, automatically make embedded videos responsive. For these themes, you can skip Step 2.

Step 2 (Optional): Generate Responsive Embed Code

If your theme doesn’t automatically make videos responsive, use a tool like Embed Responsively. Paste your video URL into the tool, click Embed, and copy the responsive embed code. Insert Videos With the Rich Text Editor 1

Note: To prevent related videos from appearing at the end of a YouTube video, add ?rel=0 at the end of the video URL in the embed code.

Step 3: Insert Video in the Rich Text Editor

  1. Log in to your Shopify admin and go to the page or product where you want to embed the video.

  2. In the Rich Text Editor, click the Insert Video button (it looks like a video camera).

  3. Paste the video embed code (from Step 2 or directly from YouTube/Vimeo).

  4. Click Insert Video. Insert Videos With the Rich Text Editor 2

After embedding the video, click Save to apply the changes. The video will now be visible on your Shopify page.

Summary

Embedding videos into your Shopify store is straightforward once you know the steps. By adding videos to product descriptions, blog posts, or collection pages, you can give customers a closer look at your products, increasing engagement and sales.
